Believe it or not, this is not the third consecutive Vlogbrothers video featuring someone stuffing Peeps into their mouth as quickly as possible, but it is the third one out of the last four video uploads at this point in the chronological watch order. I won't lie, there is now part of me that is tempted to attempt this challenge. A very, very small and insignificant part, but still.
But if I did that, I may not be able to continue on with Vlogbrothers Rewatch -- an ongoing series of articles in which I document my journey through the entire back catalog of Vlogbrothers YouTube videos. Using this playlist, I'm doing this in chronological order, one per day, from the very beginning. We are apparently in the Peeps Era. It will soon pass, though if memory serves, possibly not for forever.
Leave it to John Green to narrate a video so beautifully that you almost forget it's a voiceover of said author shoving Peeps rapidly into his mouth (where they allegedly and unfortunately do not remain). That is his superpower, I think -- the ability to put words to anything and make it so you absolutely cannot look away.
Making the ability for everyone to donate to the future Foundation to Decrease World Suck was really what got the whole thing started, but it was announced in this video, which was a fun little nod to the future that they didn't know could happen. The "they had no idea what would happen next" moments in this rewatch are some of my favorites. Because they really didn't. And if they would have stopped after one year, none of what exists now would be here.
They did not stop, of course -- sorry; spoilers. And we're living in a much better world today because of that.
