Nerdfighteria has a theme song? This is one of those many videos I have already and will continue to come across on this rewatch -- one I know I watched but have absolutely no memory of watching. (It should be noted that while this video is dated February 17 in the title, it was actually uploaded on February 15 -- I was confused by that at first.)

Anyway, what are we doing here? By we, I mean me -- and I suppose you, too! This is Vlogbrothers Rewatch, an ongoing series of articles in which I document my journey through the full Vlogbrothers YouTube channel catalog. I've started from the beginning and am watching every video in order using this playlist. At this rate, only watching one video per day, I should be caught up to current uploads by ... oh who am I kidding? I'm not doing that math. This will just keep going forever, basically. Care to join me?

We're already well past the original Nerd Fighters video, but it's still amazing to think about what might have happened if the title of that arcade game had been easier to read. The term "nerd fighters" just so happened to fit perfectly into the description of what this community would end up evolving into -- a celebration of nerd culture and love, activism and inclusion and changing the world one small act at a time.

I've written about this previously as well, but I stand by it: John should have never stopped singing on this channel. In an effort to celebrate everyone coming to Nerdfighteria as they are -- regardless of what skills or interests or preferences you have or don't have -- expressing yourself through song should have always been one of those things that stuck around.
