As someone who has not spent a significant amount of time in airports, but has spent enough time in them to know I am absolutely fine with not having spent a significant amount of time there, this video filled me with anxiety and, I'll be honest, a healthy amount of rage. I think we saw at least three airports in roughly the same number of minutes, and that's more than enough for me.
Welcome (or welcome back) to Vlogbrothers Rewatch! This is an ongoing series of articles in which I document my experience rewatching every original Vlogbrothers video publicly uploaded to their YouTube channel in order, starting from the very beginning, using this playlist. I'll be doing this once per day, ideally until I catch up to current uploads (which could take a while). But anything could happen to the internet before then -- the future is uncertain, so we might as well watch some Vlogbrothers while we can.
A lot of people don't actually realize that part of the work of being an author often involves traveling and talking to groups of people about the things you write. Writing itself is a quite solitary activity, but the job title of Writer is extremely people-centric. No matter where you live, you will probably end up traveling for work. Hence why John, in this video, found himself in not one, but many airports in a very short amount of time.
These videos always end up being the most entertaining of all, because boredom breeds creativity. When you have nothing else to do and you are stuck in an airport, you're going to come up with plenty of great video ideas or things to talk about. Don't worry -- we'll be seeing plenty more of these airport videos in the future as we continue on this long, fascinating journey through time.
