Vlogbrothers rewatch, day 28: February 7
By Meg Dowell
There are, unsurprisingly, many great novels written by New York Times best selling author John Green. Three of his books, The Fault in Our Stars and Paper Towns, and Turtles All the Way Down, have been adapted into films. Another of his books, Looking For Alaska, was adapted into an 8-episode Hulu original TV series. There are all these great stories. And then there's the lesser-known favorite, Everyone Poops in My Pants.
Welcome back, all (or welcome for the very first time, and if that's the case for you, I'm sorry) to Vlogbrothers Rewatch. This is the ongoing series where I rewatch every video on the Vlogbrothers channel in order, starting from the very beginning, using this playlist. I'm doing this once a day for the foreseeable future, ideally until I catch up to current Vlogbrothers uploads, but we'll have to see how long that actually takes. It's Thanksgiving in the United States today, yet here I am. Writing about another Vlogbrothers video. Because I am exactly one thing: stubborn.
I can't believe I forgot about this video. How could anyone forget about this video? I'm not going to compare this story to Green's other great works because it's really such a different thing, such a unique piece of literature, that I couldn't possibly put it in the same category as everything else. That would be unfair. It wouldn't be right.
One thing we can say for sure, however, is that John has an excellent reading voice and always has. There's a reason Thoughts From Places is one of my favorite series on the channel (I can't wait to get to some of those, eventually). His voice is so soothing to listen to. I highly recommend the audiobook for The Anthropocene Reviewed, while we're on the subject.
