Vlogbrothers rewatch, Day 17: January 23

Ah, the "in your pants" joke makes its first appearance. Yes, I'd mostly forgotten about this one too (although maybe this time I'm not mad that I had). This is also technically not the first time we've heard Katherine's voice (did you notice her brief voiceover a few videos ago?) and I honestly can't remember whether or not it's the last.

Welcome! Or welcome back, depending on how new you are to this series. We (and by we I mean I) are rewatching every Vlogbrothers video ever made in order from the beginning using this playlist. I'm doing this because it does not currently feel as though the world is becoming an easier place to live in, and that's hard -- and what better way to cope with that then to revisit some of the online content that brings me (and likely many others) joy?

It's really nice seeing Hank congratulate John on his award, especially since they weren't nearly as close at this point in time as they are now. Genuine hard work deserves recognition, and even though it's only tea in that wine glass, at least Hanik got to celebrate in a cozy way. Until the "in your pants" jokes start. But don't like to me and tell me you're not looking for the nearest book to see if the joke works on the title. Usually it does!

These two will be sending congratulations back and forth on a plethora of fronts in the many videos to come, and I cannot wait to relive that joy on their behalf. Also, someone in the comments of this video asked for a "Vlogbrothers react to old Vlogbrothers videos" video and I can't remember if they've done this yet, but I also wish they would. You know. Because science. And for laughs.
