There have been some returning guests to Hot Ones over the years, but T-Pain has become the first celebrity guest to reappear on the show for a third time.
In a special bonus episode released earlier today, the Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter rejoined host Sean Evans for another chat about life, music, and more. Everyone in the comments of the video is begging for him to have his own hot sauce -- called T-Pain, of course -- and with that PEPSI sponsorship, how could they not?
For those unfamiliar with the Hot Ones format, let's quickly break it down (much like these hot sauces might break down your will to survive). Each week on the YouTube exclusive First We Feast series, Evans invites a celebrity guest onto the show for a one-on-one, interview-style sit down. Except instead of sitting with nothing between them while they chat, they're situated at a table filled with chicken wings (and, as you probably guessed, hot sauces).
But that's not all. The interview is broken up into rounds by question, where each question is paired with a hot sauce. The hot sauces increase in spice level with each round, but the questions get hotter too. The interview usually ends in one of two ways: Either guests make it to the final question and brave the highest heat, or they tap out early when the heat becomes too much.
Conversations between an interviewer and guest who have spoken on multiple occasions are always a special brand of astonishing. To see that rapport soften both sides and watch the interview play out as if it's between two friends is beautiful to watch every time. Anyone who is fortunate enough to interview the same celebrity more than once truly has an opportunity unlike any other.
