Online influencer Aspyn Ovard has finally mentioned her divorce out loud -- but not in the way most people might have expected.

In a recent TikTok video featuring her holding her newest child, Ovard used the popular "demure" trend to briefly explain why she wasn't making public content about her divorce from her husband, Parker Ferris.

"You see how I considered my children and how it would affect them to have their families personal information shared all over the internet?" she said in the video. "Very smart, very good mom."

The content creator filed for divorce from her husband on April 1, the same day she announced the birth of her third daughter. She has given few other details publicly about the situation, and it seems that will continue.

Ovard posts content to platforms such as YouTube and TikTok, and over the past few years her fans had begun to notice that her husband wasn't appearing in her videos as much as he used to. While some suspected something was going on, many have been surprised that she hasn't addressed the situation in any of her content up until now.

But it turns out the privacy of her family and the safety of her children are her main priority as she navigates the situation. If she wants to further discuss her divorce, she will likely do so if and when it feels appropraite. And even then, she will likely go to great lengths to keep her kids out of the conversation as much as possible.

While it can be difficult for fans of content creators to process changes in very public, heavily documented relationships, it's always best to give creators privacy if they communicate that is what they want. Influencers are people too, and they deserve the right to not have to discuss every private matter they are dealing with just because they share other aspects of their lives with fans.
