What makes a content creator 'good enough'?

It seems the rules for success as content creators are always changing.

I've been struggling intensely with my identity as a content creator this year. Now more than ever, I seem to fail to meet the criteria for success in content creation -- and it has made me wonder whether those criteria even fundamentally matter.

In general, all successful content creators fall into one of several categories: they're good at something, they know a lot about something, or -- let's just be honest with ourselves here -- they're simply nice to look at. (Not a bad thing by the way -- use what you have to your advantage!)

In many cases, you hit one of these marks. Some are lucky enough to hit two of them at once. But one question still remains: Is that enough to find the kind of success that earns you the opportunities you need to attain financial stability and maintain that? And even further -- is it enough to make you happy?

Content creators and influencers are faced with all kinds of pressures to be not just good, but better than they were yesterday. Social media and the content creation landscape overall is constantly shifting. So on top of everything else, you also have to be able to adapt to trends and the needs of your audience in a heartbeat.

So at the end of the day, what "good enough" means in content creation boils down to one's ability to find a niche, stick to it, and get so good at making as much content as possible about it that they become influential enough to succeed in all the ways they want to. Or need to.

I don't know if I have it in me to keep up witht his game forever. But knowing what it takes is really only half the battle -- you have to take what you know and deliver on it to get the results you want.

And what are you willing to do to make that happen? That's up to you.
