If you've never seen Childish Gambino eat hot wings while answering interview questions, now's your chance. He's the Hot Ones guest scheduled for July 18.

For those who haven't heard of Hot Ones yet, the premise is simple. Host and interviewer Sean Evans invites celebrity guests onto his YouTube show to ask them questions about their work, their life, and more. But it's a little bit ... hotter than that.

As Evans asks the guest questions, they sit across from one another and eat hot wings. The catch is that the wings get hotter as the interview continues. Interviews end when the guest taps out or when they've reached the final level of heat.

It was recently revealed that Childish Gambino would be this week's celebrity guest. You may also know him as Donald Glover, though you've likely never seen both of them in the same room before. Glover released an album earlier this year, Atavista, a re-release of one of Childish Gambino's prior albums from 2020.

Glover actually began his career as a writer on 30 Rock and went on to star in NBC's Community as a regular cast member for its first four seasons. He produced, wrote, and starred in FX's Atlanta series. Glover has also appeared in a handful of movies, even portraying a young Lando Calrissian in 2017's Solo: A Star Wars Story.

His stage name, Childish Gambino, was first used to launch his music career. Earlier this year he announced the upcoming release of Childish Gambino's final album. Bando Stone & the New World. The album releases on July 19, the day after his appearance on Hot Ones.

Just like a traditional talk show one might view on network television, the guests who appear on Hot Ones on YouTube are usually promoting the release of a new or upcoming project. As this week marks the release of Glover's final Childish Gambino album, the show and Evans' questions might offer him a chance to reflect on his diverse and successful career thus far.
