There is a new social media app available to download on your phone. It looks a little bit like Twitter, but there is one key difference: It's filled with bots. On purpose.

Normally, something like AI bots would be a common complaint among users of a social media app. But that's what sets SocialAI apart from similar platforms: You don't actually have to interact with other human beings. The bots are supposed to be there.

According to TechCrunch, SocialAI is built on the premise that AI can better the human social experience by providing instant and constant feedback whenever you post. In a nutshell, every time you post something new on SocialAI, the AI bots will immediately respond to it.

So if you are someone who frequently posts on social media and never gets any responses from other people, SocialAI might be for you. Never again will you have to experience the disappointment sending a tweet that basically goes into the void.

Available on iOS, SocialAI is the perfect social network for people who don't actually want to talk to anyone.

When you use the app, you are presumably the only human there. All the conversations you have with the app's bots are kept private. So you can use the space as a sort of virtual diary to post about anything you want. Except when you do that, you'll get real-time feedback from AI. Whether or not that's a good thing is completely up to you.

An app like this could not exist until AI technology had developed enough to make it possible. Now you can enter a "safe space" where you can say anything, with no human interaction, and still feel as though your thoughts and feelings are being validated by someone.

SocialAI is available in the App Store for those wishing to test its capabilities.
