jacksepticeye confirms New York Comic Con appearances
By Harvey Hamer
It's a busy time for online creator Sean McLoughlin, aka jacksepticeye. As well as his gaming content and Brain Leak podcast on YouTube, he runs a coffee company and oversees two comic series within a shared ALTRVERSE planned by himself and creative director Sophie Jackson.
Bad Egg Publishing are Sean and Sophie's collaborators, first on a teaser ALTRVERSE issue #0 and now on two ongoing series. The Somewhat Incredible Jackie-Boy Man chronicles the misadventures of its titular superhero. Void Silver is set in a world where magic exists alongside technology and science, following the journey of young magician Marvin the Magnificent. If you're new to these characters, you can check out part 1 of our guide to jacksepticeye's ALTRVERSE, explaining the origins of these two and more!
On August 12 Bad Egg Publishing revealed the covers for the upcoming issue 2s in their series, this time with no limited edition foil variants but still an A and B cover for each title during this preorder campaign. The comics are set to ship, and the digital copies will release for purchase, on October 21. Here are the official announcements, with links to purchase each issue:

The day following those comic announcements, Sean officially confirmed his dates for NYCC, sharing this message on his YouTube community tab:
"I'm going to be at New York Comic Con in October to talk about my comic book series as well as do a signing/Meet & greet. I'll be there Thursday and Friday 17th & 18th I believe. I hope I see some of you there!"

The convention's still a while away (October 17-20) and nothing more has been announced yet about a specific schedule. but in his latest video Sean specifically mentioned a panel "to talk about the comic book". Sean mentions that NYCC at the Javits Center, just a few days before the release of the ALTRVERSE issue 2s, will be his first comic con.
Bad Egg Publishing have also put together a catch-up bundle on their webstore, linked in the tweet below, containing all five issues in the ALTRVERSE so far.
For collectors there are many more variant covers and posters available on their website, and from other comics retailers, including local shops. The comics are also available digitally direct from Bad Egg Publishing and from GlobalComix.
