Instagram has made adding text to posts even easier

Instagram has added the ability for all users to add text to posts more easily -- and there are even more fonts to choose from than before.

Now when you go to add text to Reels, for example, there are new text styles you can choose from to make your videos stand out even more. This is a similar function to what you can already do on TikTok, if you are more used to using that app to create and upload videos compared to Instagram.

Text animation is also a new feature Instagram has added to Reels (what the social media app now calls its videos). Adding animation to your Reels is another way to capture the attention of anyone who might be scrolling and come across what you have uploaded.

This isn't all Instagram has recently added to the platform, however. Users can now add Stickers to photos to make them stand out even more. Previously, Stickers were only available to use on Reels and Instagram Stories.

Adding text to posts is also easier now more than it has ever been. All you have to do is tap on the text tool, choose the font you want (the different fonts appear instantly), and customize your post to look exactly how you want it to.

Whether or not you use these new fonts and options in your posts is really up to you. It may be more aesthetically pleasing for you to leave text off the posts that appear in your grid, but you can always experiment with different combinations of images, Stickers, and fonts to see what gets the most attention on your posts.

As with all social media, figuring out what works for you is a matter of trial and error. You'll never know until you give a variety of things a try.
