X (Formerly Twitter) has officially launched a new, upgraded version of its own AI chatbot, which it calls Grok.

Grok 2 (like Grok the original, but better!) is an updated, more enhanced version of the original AI chatbot unique to the social media platform. The tool is only available for Premium (formerly Twitter Blue) subscribers to the app, and has likely been upgraded to encourage more Twitter users to subscribe to the paid version of the social media platform.

The AI chatbot is able to generate images and other content for paying customers to utilize. What allegedly makes Grok unique to other AI tools that perform similar functions is that it takes itself less seriously, and claims to be able to answer questions other AI tools will not.

This new upgrade to Grok "is more intuitive, steerable, and versatile across a wide range of tasks, whether you’re seeking answers, collaborating on writing, or solving coding tasks," according to X (Formerly Twitter). Which means it can do many of the same things it used to be able to do, but better.

One of the main selling points of Grok (and now the two new versions of Grok 2) is its ability to use real-time data to answer any question a user asks it to answer.

Of course, Grok's AI capabilities aren't the only exclusive features available to paying X Premium and X Premium+ subscribers. Paying for Twitter allows users to edit their posts anytime after publishing, publish longer posts, and display a blue checkmark next to their display name. That checkmark used to mean someone was a notable figure, but now its value has pretty much been reduced to showcasing who is and isn't subscribed to X Premium or X Premium+.

Whether or not Grok 2 will increase subscriber revenue is maybe the only question the bot won't be able to answer (yet).
