A big tiger has gone viral on TikTok for, understandably, being adorable

If not friend, why friend-shaped?

Tigers are just big, adorable cats who can't be snuggled. That's why one has gone viral this week simply for existing -- but it's actually quite amazing that he's alive at all.

Cincinnati, who has become a big hit thanks to his widely popular TikTok video, is a resident at Wylie, Texas rescue In-Sync Exotics. He lived under poor conditions before finding his current home, and as evidenced by the linked video, he's having a great time.

The video, which has nearly 10 million views on TikTok as of this writing, is a short shot of Cincinnati relaxing in a pool of water. He's not doing anything but floating -- he barely moves in the video. But that doesn't matter. People see big cat, they like and share.

What really caught viewers' attention was the tiger's eyes, which are big and "soft" because of how relaxed he is. He hadn't been able to relax in a pool like this before arriving at the rescue in 2014. Now he feels safe enough to let his guard down a bit and chill.

According to his rescue page, the tiger had no access to toys before coming to In-Sync Exotics, which have since turned out to be his absolute favorite things. When he first discovered the rescue's toy-filled playground, he went into full big kitten mode and ran from toy to toy because he'd never had playtime like that before.

Cincinnati has been through a lot. He survived unideal conditions and made his way to the rescue, but lost his beloved enclosure mate four years later. Despite the loss, he still loves to play and, judging by the video, hasn't wasted any time making pool relaxation a priority.

You can help TikTok's current favorite tiger by sponsoring his care, which ensures he will stay healthy and happy for a very long time.
