Over the past few years, Sean McLoughlin and creative director Sophie Jackson have been working with Bad Egg Publishing to release two series in a shared ALTRVERSE. The Somewhat Incredible Jackie-Boy Man and Void Silver launched with an issue #0 in 2023.

At this year's New York Comic Con, (October 17-20 at the Javits Center), the comics creative team, creators, writers and artists, will be meeting for the first time just as issue 2s will release for each series. Sean and his team will have a range of panels and signings on both October 17 and 18, with free signatures as well as a variety of con-exclusive merch at Bad Egg's booth #3325.

Fans are eager for the insights the panels will provide and to see the full creative team interact and share their parts of the process for the first time. The good news is, for those unable to make the con, the panels will be streamed!

Beyond those events, there'll be NYCC Exclusive Variant Covers for the first issue of each series. For those unfamiliar with the characters, please check out both Part 1 and Part 2 of our guide to the ALTRVERSE.

The Somewhat Incredible Jackie-Boy Man cover by Sweeney Boo depicts the titular hero emerging from a green energy field, similar to the event that gave him his powers (which we'll cover in Part 3 of our guide to Sean's ALTRVERSE.) The Void Silver variant by Jim Mahfood depicts Marvin, and potentially the benevolent entity/his cat Higgins, as we've never seen them before, fully embracing the magical imagery of Sean's multiverse.

While these variant covers are only available at the booth, other ALTRVERSE merch from hoodies to lanyards will be available online during NYCC. This is the first time Sean has released merch based on his characters in half a decade.

To top off all these reveals, the official NYCC account shared Sean's appearances.

As the ALTRVERSE grows, it seems the universe itself, and NYCC this year, are both events not to be missed!
